GOLVANI is a headscarf design which is from 3000 years ago in Iran; it has been worn during the Median and Achaemenid periods. Today it is used by both men and women in Lorestan province in Iran. GOLVANI means silk headscarf in the Lori dialect. The new generation of women uses a smaller version of GOLVANI as a headscarf.
